ABOUT INEFFABLE WORDS

Ineffable Words is a blog run by Sam Lloyd, an SEO/Digital Marketing Consultant currently working for one of the top ten digital publishing agencies in Adelaide, South Australia.
This blog is written for self-employed people and small businesses who can’t afford an agency, are stuck doing their own digital marketing and doing their best to find reliable information on the Internet.
There is a lot of rubbish on the Internet, and the digital marketing infosphere has its fair share of misinformation, buzzwords, hype and thinly-veiled advertising hooks. Many people going it alone in digital marketing will find it difficult finding useful and credible information that will actually help them.
Ineffable Words aims to be a solution to all this by providing reliable and realistic information about digital marketing, communicating in plain English in a way non-experts can understand, and doing it all for free.
If you run a small business and are feeling lost when it comes to marketing yourself online, you’ve come to the right place. In this blog, you will find useful and relevant information that is free of hype, jargon and sales pitches, and which is actually designed to help.
If you can’t find what you need within the pages of this blog, you are welcome to contact Sam Lloyd for an obligation-free chat about your digital marketing strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you called Ineffable Words?

We agree it’s a slightly odd name!

I originally set out to be a freelance copywriter and wanted an artistic name that was both ironic and indicative of what we do, but quickly gravitated towards digital marketing. I considered changing the name to something boring like “such-and-such Digital Marketing Specialists”, but who wants to be boring? Plus I’d already had 250 business cards made up with the logo and everything…

Do you offer digital marketing services?

Because I currently work for a digital marketing agency, we do not offer digital marketing services at the moment. Conflicts of interests are no good for anybody.

Why do you give out free information?

There is no shortage of good quality, authoritative blogs on the topic of digital marketing, SEO, web design etc., all giving out more-or-less the same information, all giving it out for free. The only problem is, most of these blogs only make sense if you already know what they are talking about.

I’m a nerd, so when I started my own business I picked up on it fairly quickly, but it was only when I started working in digital marketing/publishing agencies that it really clicked. I realised that most people running their own small businesses are not nerds, and would struggle to pick up on it all as efficiently as I did.

So I decided I would take information that’s already out there, translate it into plain English and tailor it to small business operations to fill that gap.

How do you make money from the blog?

You may notice ads in various places on the site. This provides a revenue stream to cover my time spent on the blog.
